Julien Macdonald

Another show in my top three from London Fashion Week day 1 and 2 is by Jullien Macdonald. Normally his designs are more of an eveningwear but this collection is somewhat simplified and there's lot of great day wear ( although the fabulous evening dresses his known for are still there). I love the colour palette of muted greys and yellow (told you it was a BIG trend), also the traditional black and white and nice shade of blue. The intericate embroidery and detailing are just stunning. There have been loads of dropped waists around, but I prefer his defined structures. I need/want one of his belts. The red lip is perfect finishing touch and so chic! Are you loving it as much as I do?

London Fashion Week - Basso and Brooke

It's day 3 of London Fashion Week and we've seen some great shows already. My top three so far are by Basso and Brooke, John Rocha and Julien Macdonald. The competition is tough as London is known for its talent and it's really showing. I've discovered loads of new great designers but more about them later.
The strongest trend that has been emerging is prints. Prints have been around for a while and are here to stay. My favourite version is by Basso and Brooke. Their collection is vibrant, lively and maybe slightly bonkers but maybe that's why I LOVE it so much! Above are my fave looks, but do check the rest of the collection at Style.com. Full of easy to wear dresses and tunics that make effortless dressing so easy. Just put one on and you're done. Not much more necessary. Can SS 12 come any faster?
Have a stylish day.

Cynthia Nixon aka Miranda Hobbes

So the other day I finally watched Sex and The City 2 (I was busy...). Despite the not so good reviews I loved it! And of course especially the clothes! Whilst watching it I realized, how other than Carrie's wardrobe are underrated. The dress that caught my eye instantly and made the biggest impression on me, was of Miranda Hobbes. It's a dress that she wears at the gay wedding and I can reveal it's by the talented Julien Macdonald. And the rest of her wardrobe was just as good. New style icon on the block...
Have a stylish day.
