Designer v High street - Pucci bangle

Buying a designer item is a great feeling and I love it, but getting a great bargain is even better in a way, because you've found something beautiful and you won't go broke. I am the ultimate bargain hunter. Well I was very happy when I discovered this gorgeous cuff for £45 at Banana republic, I actually discovered they have a lot of great jewellery. It reminds me a lot of Pucci and if you'd rather pay £570 you can buy the pink one at net-a-porter.com (blue seemed to have sold out). But why pay so much if you can have something just as pretty for a fraction of the price. I know which one I'm going for. How about you?

Designer v High street

You may remember those Alexander McQueen pink boots i was going on about he whole season. They eventually went to sale and I decided to buy them. They still have few pairs left at Matches should you be interested. But unfortunately I wasn't meant to have them, because even the biggest size was too small for me (not the first time this happened). I was devastated, as I already planned million outfits with them. So i decided to do a little search on high street and see if i could find anything similar. You can imagine my delight, when I discovered this pair by River Island for £85! You can buy them here . Not only they look nearly identical, I've saved a lot of money (and spent it on other things..). Again this proves that you don't have to spend a fortune on things, because the high street is so good. If you're not a pinkoholic like me, the good news is they come in four different colours. Will you be buying them?

Designer v High Street

Another great high street version of a designer item at the fraction of the price. If you love like many celebrities, stylists and fashion editors, love the polka dot Stella McCartney dress, but can't afford the price tag, don't despair. Rare have come up with a version that couldn't be more similar. It's a great timeless LBD with interesting detailing. Buy it at  ASOS.COM

Designer v High street

I said this many times before, and I'm going to say it again. British High street is one of the best. I am all about mixing designer and high street for creating unique looks and there's no better place than UK. It is a well known fact, that high street stores get inspired by designers and you can see their versions of whatever was seen at the catwalks for fraction of the price. Some such items are good, some not so much.
Look at these shoes for example. Many fashion editors and fashionistas were crazy for the Miu Miu glitter booties. I have to admit I wasn't such a fan. But I'm rather liking the Topshop version. At £80 I'd even consider buying them but I'm trying to stay away from too high heels (I'm 5'11). If you fell in love with the Miu Miu ones but couldn't afford them or missed out (they're sold out in many places), I say Topshop is a way to go. Buy them at  topshop.com.
I'm contemplating doing regular Designer v High street feature. What do you think? Would you like to see more posts like these?
