Jeans and blazer

jeans Zara, blazer, shoes sold out similar, bag Valentino, top Zara (old)

I usually like to dress very feminine, so whenever I wear jeans I tend to dress them up with pretty top and heels or a blazer. I've bought this one recently and I can already tell you I'm going to wear it a lot. I love the longer lengths (something tall girls will relate to) and the colour is such a pretty shade of pink. It's currently on sale but low in stock so don't miss out! (link)
I am loving the first signs of Spring and all the blossoms that are suddenly appearing everywhere. If you follow me on Instagram, you will see a lot of blooms in the coming weeks. It's my favourite time of the year and I'm hoping there will be plenty of sunshine and I'll get to spend a lot of time outdoors and make the most of it.
I'm going to Paris in 3 weeks for my  birthday and although I've already been there 5 times, never in Spring so I'm very excited. It seems Paris is starting to bloom already too, which makes me very happy. I'm already planning my outfits and hoping for warmer temperatures.
Wishing you all a wonderful March and let me know what are you up to!
Have a stylish day.

The one in Chiswick House

jeans Paige, jacket, shoes Gianvitto Rossi, bag Valentino, top , ring YSL, bracelet Lola Rose

You may or may not know that I love travelling but also exploring parts of England and visiting its many manor houses, museum, galleries etc. I must admit that my outfit for exploring Chiswick house wasn't the most appropriate (I swapped the heels for my Acne boots) but it was definitely a great backdrop for a photoshoot.
I visited during my week off work at the beginning of February, which happened to be the coldest week and as much as I enjoyed the scenery and gorgeous Conservatory, I must say it wasn't the best day as it really was bitterly freezing. So I am definitely planning to go back when the weather warms up.
As for the outfit, I love dressing up jeans with heels and boxy jackets or blazers. I got these shoes in the sales and they were a bargain! I wanted to have a pair of red stilettos for a while and I just love this shade of red and also the fact that they are suede. I'm really preferring suede to leather these days. And Gianvitto Rossi definitely knows a way to my heart.
Can you believe that it's nearly the end of February? I'm glad because it was so cold and miserable (weatherwise) although it's been quite a good month for me. Anyway bring on March and hopefully more warmer days and sunshine.
How was your February?
Have a stylish day.

Happy Valentine

sweater ASOS sadly sold out , skirt now on sale!, booties Gianvito Rossi very similar ones and cheaper version, bag Valentino

Happy Valentine everyone! I know I'm a little early but a) I believe if you love someone you should tell them every day and b) I blog outfits on Friday ;). How are you all celebrating?
You may read in my last post that I am single (and looking) so I won't be doing anything special but I am certainly not bitter about it. Life has been good lately, things are going in the right direction and I feel happy right now. If the right man comes along great, but in the meantime I'm trying to enjoy every day.
On another note I have been on a detox for the past week and I am slowly getting used to eating only healthy things, I haven't had coffee since Saturday and I'm craving it more than sugar, and there have been days where I felt constantly hungry but I feel like I have more energy and am less bloated and hopefully few pounds have dropped off (I haven't weighted myself yet). And although I am hoping to loose some weight the primary focus is to treat my body with respect and only nourish it with good stuff and I want change my eating habits for better for the long run not just for this week.
And lastly (I probably say this all the time) but I can't wait for Spring and shedding layers and being more outdoors again. Enough of winter now.
Don't forget to tell me all about your Valentine's day plans!
Have a stylish day.

February goal: Find a Valentine, plus January update

You may have read my post about my goals for this year (if not read it here) where I set a little task for me to do each month. So once a month I will update you how I did the previous month and talk a little more about the new month's task.
February's goal is probably the most tricky. Find a Valentine. You may or may not know that I am single (and have been for a while now) and as I'm not getting any younger, it would be nice to meet someone special to share my life with. Obviously it's not easy at all. I find, especially as you get older, there is less to choose from as more and more people are coupled up and also you've been through few relationships and know exactly what you want and won't just settle down for anyone.
Being realistic I think the chances of meeting him this particular month is improbable, but maybe I just need to be more open minded.
My friends keep telling me to go out more and I think I do although maybe not to the right places. Although where is the right place to meet someone? But maybe I need to try new things, visit new places and most importantly stop playing with my phone all the time and look around more. I'm always on social media and even if The Prince Charming went past me I would have probably missed him.
So that's the task for this month. Less social media more social interactions with actual real people around me. Wish me luck!

And now January update. January was all about exercising more and getting back to healthy habits. Although I didn't fail totally, I certainly didn't do great. I started off well doing yoga more regularly again and getting on exercise bike and going for walks, but as the month went on I did less and less. I blame the weather partially but it really shouldn't be an excuse.
I have a week off work now and it seems the perfect time to get back to it and I am doing a week's detox too to (hopefully) loose few pounds but most importantly eat better. I am fairly good, I love my fruit and salads, but I just got little stuck in a rut eating all the same things all the time and I love my sweets and right now I'm not at my happy weight and don't feel fit. I miss that.
I will tell you more about how my detox week went later and hopefully I will up the exercise too.

Wow ok I rambled on for quite a while. If you've come all the way here thank you for reading.
I would love any suggestions about your healthy eating habits, and how you motivate yourself to exercise and maybe your dating suggestions too.

Have a stylish day.

On repeat

Coat sold out in pink but here's a black version and a very similar pink style, jeans Paige, boots (they are on sale now!), handbag Chanel

This coat has been on serious repeat. I have also worn it here and here. But as much as I enjoyed wearing it I literally cannot wait for Spring now and getting rid of coats. Spring is my favourite time of the year and I'm getting excited just thinking about it.
In the meantime this coat will probably get a lot more wear. It's such a nice colour and it's a bargain too!
On another note, the weekend is nearly here. What are you all up to?
Have a stylish day.

Fluffy coat

coat, bag Chanel, dress Self portrait, boots Nicholas Kirkwood

How about this fluffy number? I call it my man repeller's coat because I imagine men must hate it. But I dress for myself and not men so who cares. And I happen to love it. Although with Valentine's day fast approaching and my goal for next month being finding a Valentine maybe I should change my approach..
What do you think? Can I meet a man wearing this coat?

On another note, I wish we were past coat weather. I am truly fed up with winter and cold now. I'm a warmer weather person and spring is my favourite season and I literally can't wait for it to come. Especially as I already booked a little trip to Paris at the end of March (I hope it will feel like spring by then).
Who's had enough of winter now? How are you coping with this cold?
Have a stylish day.

Easy does it

jeans Zara, boots Nicholas Kirkwood, jumper, coat Zara, bag Chanel

Sometimes there's nothing better than throwing on your trusted items and knowing they just work. Like a pair of favourite skinny jeans, over the knee boots that are comfy and chic (and my most worn item throughout winter), jumper that adds a little colour to your outfit and a classic coat that goes with everything.
Those are the pieces that will stand the test of time and whether you invest or get them on the high street, they will last you and always make you feel put together. This is such outfit for me and it seems to fit many occasions too.
My perfect Sunday consists of visiting a museum or gallery, meeting friends for a meal or coffee and cake and maybe a spot of retail therapy and this look is comfy, easy but works for those occasions.
What do you think? What are your trusted go to items?
Have a stylish day.

It's a wrap

Coat ASOS (old), dress via ASOS (it's on sale now)!, bag Valentino, OTK boots Nicholas Kirkwood, brooch Chanel, YSL arty ring

I like to wrap up. I love wrap dresses and coats because they add definition to your waist (even if it's nearly non-existent like mine). I can't believe I'm telling you my biggest secret. Yes my body shape is quite rectangular and belted and wrapped items are the perfect way to disguise that and create an illusion of a waist.
And how great is this dress. Not only it is cut on the bias (very flattering on most shapes) the diagonal stripes are slimming and elongate the body (ok at 5'11'' I don't need that..). But still. I love it. It's very easy to wear and perfect for every day.
Talk about January blues done the right way.
On another note, you may have noticed today is Friday 13th. I am slightly superstitious so I'll extra careful with everything and hope you will be too ;) And don't forget to wrap up!
Have you got any styling secret you're willing to share?
Have a stylish day.
