Cover girls at Vogue Paris

This editorial in November issue of Vogue Paris is simply great. Not only it has a bunch of models I rate highly - including Isabeli Fontana, Karolina Kurkova, Izabel Goulart - and Natasha Poly, Arizona Muse and Hanna Ben Abdesslem, they all look rather great. It's a beauty shoot using one brand of make-up in each photo. It's styled bu Emmanuelle Alt, who has been doing great since taking over the reigns of French Vogue, and is photographed by Inez and Vinoodh. I really got inspired by this to try some new make-up, I've been stuck in a rut a bit. I'll let you know, how I got on. You can see more pictures at my tumblr.

Isabeli Fontana for Vogue Paris

Over the last year, I've become somewhat obsessed with Isabeli Fontana. I think she's one of the hottest models at the moment. I love everything about her photoshoot for Vogue Paris, styled by Emanuelle Alt and photographed by Mario Sorrenti. I like the fact that there's quite a lot of black and white photos (I'm the biggest fan), although it's a shame you can't see Isabeli's gorgeous blue eyes. The styling is quite simple, but that's all you need with this stunning model. Notice the same belt in many pictures, proving that a great accessory goes a long way. Exit in Vogue

Yesterday the world of fashion was shocked by the news that Carine Roitfield was to leave her position at Vogue Paris! People started speculating why, what is she going to do next and most importantly who is gonna replace her. Whoever will get the top job, has a hard job to fill her high-heeled shoes. The queen of French chic has done a great job and I wish her best of luck in her next adventure.
I wonder if that's why Tom Ford co-edited one issue. To try before she leaves and to show other people how to do it. And I wonder if the rumours are true, that they may be doing something together next. Can't wait to see!
Here I'm looking at some of her great outfits. She fits well in my style icons month.
Have a stylish day.

Ford in Vogue

I looove Tom Ford and I love Vogue therefore I think that when the two are put together, it's a match made in heaven. When I read Tom was co-editing a special December/January issue for Vogue Paris, I knew I had to have it. Even though I can't speak a word of French, I believe it's a true collector's item and a treasure for Ford lover ( aka me). He is the reason I got more interested in fashion. I was drawn to all the pictures from his Gucci/YSL era. I was a teenager back then and my style was forming and it had huge effect on me. I still have a high street copy of his multichain cross necklace from his gothic inspired collection and I love it to this day. Despite it not being the real thing, it's a great statement piece and it's very nostalgic for me. The man is a genius and everything his hands touch, turns to gold. This Vogue issue will take a special place in my bookshelf and I will continue to follow everything he does as it's guaranteed to be brilliant. He's loved and admired by many and not only in fashion world. It's the movies, beauty and so on. Keep creating Tom Ford! The world can't get enough.
