Grab a bargain at Outnet

A good jacket is a basic every wardrobe needs. Actually every wardrobe needs more than one good jacket I think. That's why I'm very excited about this weekend's shop in at Outnet. Every Friday they pick out certain already heavily discounted items and reduce them even more for 72 hours. But you have to be quick because at these prices everything sells out fast. I'm a big fan of Outnet and bought many items there already. It's like it's the sales every day over there. Bargain hunter's paradise. But back to jackets. Stylish cover up for whenever it gets chilly is a must and I've picked my top five but check them all here. Whether it's a leather option or chic blazer they have it all. Which is your favourite? Let me know if you manage to snap some up.
Have a stylish day.

Buy of the week

Ok, this skirt is a bit pricey, but I believe it's worth every penny. I love the colour chart and the detailing. You can wear it now with black opaque tights and ankle boots and come summer, bare legs and strappy sandals. I love Matthew Williamson's work and consider some of his clothes pieces of art. This is a true collector's item and if money is no objectget yours at net-a-porter.

London Fashion Week day 3

I can't believe it's the day three already! Unfortunately I'm going to miss it today as I have other commitments, but I'll check all the pictures later on style.com. I especially can't wait to see what Emma Hill has in store for us at Mulberry - my favourite brand for handbags, also showing today are Matthew Williamson and Temperley London, two exciting designers not to be missed.
Looking back at the last two days, shows I really liked so far are by Danielle Scutt (lots of velvet, lovely dresses, great detailing) and Felder Felder (amazing silhouettes), but my favourite ( I know it may seem early after two days) is by Sass and Bide. I love the fact that they continue with the spring colour blocking trend, introducing a selection of hues and some bold prints. The whole collection is anything but boring and the colour palette is just striking. Especially loving the accessories, which I to die for. I must have a Sass and Bide bag and raspberry shoeboots. Who is your fav so far?

Matthew Williamson at Somerset House

On Friday I finally managed to see the Matthew Williamson exhibition I wrote about in November. If you get a chance go and see it, cause it's definitely worth it. It's for free, so even if you're on a tight budget pre-Christmas you needn't worry. It's set in two room and is full of backstage photographs from Matthew Williamson fashion shows plus some private photos of him and friends (including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss). The exhibit accompanies a book about the designer which recently came out. It's there on display as well plus available to buy in their book shop. If you're Matthew's fan you're gonna really enjoy it. It's all very colourful and introduces Williamson well to even people who are not familiar with his work. I managed to snap few pictures to give you an idea what to expect but if you're in London, make sure you check it out. Now it's actually the perfect time as you can visit the ice rink whilst you there. It feels all very Christmasy there.

My week at Ascot - day 5

Last day is over. It's been a good week of both fun and hard work and now it's over. Matthew Williamson was watching the show and was really happy and then popped into the backstage area to say hallo. How nice of him! I missed a photo having taken with him, but maybe next time.. Lovely stylist to the stars Gemma Shanley came over to see how's everything and also to help pack up. It was a long day, checking if nothing got damaged or lost after all those shows and getting it ready for returns. We celebrated with yet more champagne and said good byes to each other. I've met some great people and made friends I'm gonna keep in touch with and will hope, that we will meet in a year's time when Royal Ascot is gonna be celebrating 300 years.

My week at Ascot - day 4

Friday at Ascot. 4th day of the shows plus rehearsals, so we're pretty good at what we're doing. Everything seemed to go smoothly, despite most people being hungover from last night. No champagne today! After doing the same shows every day, some of the music stuck in our heads and everyone's walking around singing or whistleing bits of it. Despite having lots of fun, I am quite looking forward to going back home tomorrow. Tomorrow's gonna be a big day, with live BBC show this time showing Matthew Williamson. Wonder what he's gonna be like. I spoke to Vivienne Westwood's assistant Rafael quite a few times and he's such a nice guy! I'll try to take loads more photos. Can't wait to bring them all to you.
Have a stylish day.

My week at Ascot - day 1

All this week I'm gonna be bringing you a special feature about my week working backstage at Ascot's fashion shows. For those who don't know, let me explain that Ascot's horse racing is the number 1 event in social calendar, with the Queen attending every day. For those who paid hundreds for their ticket, there is a series of fashion shows every day. The designers showing are Amanda Wakeley, Matthew Williamson, Vivienne Westwood and Stephen Jones (with outfits from Giles and shoes by Christian Louboutin). Even though the event for public started only today, we've been here since yesterday, when we did all the preparations and rehearsals. I can tell you it was a very hectic day. I'm gonna be bringing you pics from backstage plus photos of my outfits. Stay tuned.
Have a stylish day.

brighten up your day

Matthew Williamson

Michael Kors

Christian Dior

Christian Dior

I find winter so depressing! It's grey and it gets dark early and just seems very colourless. That's why I decided to look for ways to brighten up our days. In cold winter months I tend to dress in dark colours as well, which reflects my mood. But I'm about to change it. I found so many beautiful outfits on the autumn/winter catwalks that I realized there is definitely no reason not to go for bright colours, just because there is no colour in the nature now. Here I picked my four favourite pieces (not surprising that 3 of them are pink..) to inspire us all.
How beautiful is the dress by Matthew Williamson. The colour palette and the ruffle detail are gorgeous. You can pick any of the colours for your shoes and keep the rest simple. It's making such a statement no accessories necessary. I love it!!
The coat by Michael Kors was an easy choice. The strong pink just caught my eyes instantly. It's got such a luxurious feeling as well. It will instantly lift your mood.
As for the two Christian Dior dresses, what can I say. I am seriously obsessed with anything pink and these little numbers are so beautifully cut and just really simple but interesting. There you go. After seeing these bright beauties, doesn't life seem brighter?
Have a stylish day.

hottest accessory - snood

Matthew Williamson

Michael Kors

Christian Lacroix

Burberry (all pictures from style.com)

Let's face it - it's very cold outside and the weather forecast doesn't give us any hope for it getting warmer. So we all face a dilema, how to look and be warm without loosing fashion credentials. Worry you not! As there is a very hot looking accessory, that will not only keep you warm but also looks stylish and cool. I'm talking about the snood! The autumn/winter '09 catwalks were full of them and they have been decorating necks of many celebrities. There is so many options too. You can go for bright as seen on Matthew Williamson catwalk, or luxurious feeling with furry ones seen at Michael Kors, Christan Dior, Christian Lacroix or keep it simple-ish like Burberry Prorsum by Christopher Bailey. The possibilities are endless and if you can't afford a designer option, there is plenty on the hight street as well. No reason to be cold this winter, despite the weather. That's what I like.
