Jewelled Wednesday - Azendi London

You may have read my tweets about the Bloggers showdown I was part of last week, you may have seen the outfit I wore, but here's a closer look at the jewellery I wore to create my Azendi look and also some other pieces I loved. Azendi is mostly about silver jewellery and I am more into gold, so I decided to mix it up a bit. I wore a statement necklace and few gold bangles and a stacking rings and a big cocktail ring. Do you think I pulled it off? If so don't forget to vote for me here!

Neon skirt

Yesterday I attended a bloggers showdown event organised by Azendi London - shop full of beautiful jewellery. The task was to create our Azendi look - picking up and piling any jewellery we liked. You know me I like a bit of bling.. I went for a big statement necklace and piled on few rings and bangles. Check back for a close up of what I chose to wear. Also I would really appreciate if you could vote for me here.
I wore Zara peplum top, Herve Leger skirt, Miu Miu slingbacks, Michael Kors watch and YSL jewellery.
Have a stylish day.

Jewelled Wednesday by By Marlene Birger

New season calls for new accessories. What better way to give nod to a trend than with a shiny new necklace, ring, bracelet, etc.. I adore this colourful number by By Marlene Birger , available at Mywardrobe.com. Pastels are huge for spring summer! I'm more into brights, but this necklace definitely caught my attention. Not less because it's kind of magical too! You heard me right. Because the plastic pieces are see through, they change shade according to what you wear it over. Good example is the dress below. It seems like you're wearing a completely different necklace. Which is good fashion math really. Imagine the possibilities. Love it. You can buy it here.

Jewelled Wednesday - statement necklace

I've been looking for a perfect statement necklace to add the final touch to my London Fashion Week outfits (yes I've been planning them already..). I've come across this great piece by ASOS and (by sheer coincidence) it's pink and kind of neon (huge trend for S/S), which just fits the bill perfectly. I think it'd be just as great in a different colour, but I would probably go for the pink anyway.. It's quite simple but interesting and it'll be a nice way to dress up a plain shirt or a dress. And it costs just £15! I'm hooked. You can buy it here.

Jewelled Wednesday by Louis Vuitton

I have to admit I only got round to reading December Vogue today, when the January issue is coming out any day now. It's been a busy month. But today I had my hair done at Tony and Guy, where apart from being pampered, I spent three hours catching up on magazines. Whilst I was flicking through it, I noticed this advert by Louis Vuitton and was amazed by the beautiful necklace. I was planning to do a post about statement necklaces today, but didn't expect to find this. It's so perfect! Total stand out piece. Probably a bit pricey, but with Christmas coming up.. You never know what you may find under the Christmas tree. A girl can dream right? Also I couldn't help but notice how great is Christy Turlington looking. I really need to know her beauty secrets.

Jewelled Wednesday - statement necklace by YSL

Not that I really follow trends (I read all about them, but wear what suits me whether it's in or not), but I am definitely happy that animal print is big for AW. Because I love it! It's sexy and chic. This necklace from Yves Saint Lauren is on my wish list. When it starts getting colder I prefer wearing statement necklaces opposed to big rings that I love in summer. The reason is simple. You have your hands more hidden (in pockets, gloves..) so I tend to accessorize more elsewhere. YSL hit the nail on the head yet again. I love their jewellery and this piece ticks all the right boxes. Available at net-a-porter, you can buy it here. What is your favourite piece of jewellery to wear now?

Jewelled Wednesday - by Kenneth Jay Lane

I'm always looking for great statement necklaces. They are an easy way to dress up a simple tee. I was happy to discover Kenneth Jay Lane's jewellery collection. They do an extensive range including rings and bracelets too, but I specially love these interesting pieces. Sarah Jessica Parker is a fan of this art deco inspired costume jewellery, so I'm in a good company. They've got a great selection at net-a-porter, but outnet tend to get some bargained ones and other places stock them too. Make sure you check it out.

The statement necklace - by Oscar de La Renta

As you probably know (I said this many times) I am a big big fan of jewellery. All of it. Today's post I decided to dedicate to statement necklaces as I've recently seen so many I loved. And it's not a coincidence they are all by master of beauty Oscar de La Renta. He knows how to design a stunning dress and he certainly knows how to design a beautiful necklace too. If money was no object I'd have them all. They are a great way to dress up a simple outfit and a perfect for the holiday season and beyond. There is more available at net-a-porter and you can shop the whole collection here.

Spring at H&M

Recently I've been flicking through H&M magazine and come across a spring 2011 photoshoot. It's all vintage looking and I quite like it. Especially this picture. Loving the big hair, make-up and of course the necklace. It's a great statement piece and for £14.99 and easy way how to update your spring wardrobe.

high street find of the week

As I mentioned few days ago, denim is HUGE this season. And it's a timeless fabric, because it never really goes out of fashion. So it's worth buying some pieces. I found this super cute playsuit in H&M, that is so easy to dress up or down. I've become a big big fan of H&M and they seem to be getting better by the day. This lovely little number is worth every penny, because it will see you through the summer and beyond. Just add some chunky boots and a straw hat for some festival chic or wedge sandals and a statement jewellery for a hot summer evening. Sorted.
Have a nice day.

Olivia Palermo @ Vogue.co.uk

My pick from last seven days is one day early this time, but I'm already loving two outfits, so don't wanna wait any longer. Plus it's nearly the end of the month, meaning Olivia's blog is about to end. To me, she is real style inspiration and I advise you to check out all of her outfit in Today I'm wearing at Vogue.co.uk. I love how both outfits look smart yet casual. She always carries an amazing handbag and accessories. I envy quite a few of her statement necklaces.. The khaki parka is bang on trend right now and is perfect for layering. Well done again!

Filed: great accessory

If you buy only one thing this week (and if money is no object), buy this beautiful necklace by Yves Saint Lauren at Net-a-porter.com. Even though I prefer silver accessories, gold is so great for warmer months. It will look great on tanned skin and will add a hint of colour. Wear with nudes, just add wedge sandals and stack some gold bangles and you're done.

statement necklace

By now you may know I'm a big accessories fan. At the moment I'm really into statement necklaces. I've shown you quite a few designer ones, but now I'm bringing you a great one I found on the high street. It's from Oasis and for £35 it's a bargain worth every penny. Statement necklaces are an easy way how to update your outfit, looking great with plain tees and a pair of jeggins. Add flats during the day and heels in the evening and you're sorted.
Have a stylish day.

statement accessories at Vera Wang

Another great show by even better designer. Vera Wang is famous for her wedding dresses, but she does so much more. And she does it well! Her latest AW'10 collection was feminine and powerful and I mostly loved the accessories. I'm mad for pearls and these necklaces and bracelets are to die for!

statement necklaces

I'm the biggest fan of jewellery. These days you won't see me without a big cocktail ring and I'm also a big fan of massive bangles and bracelets. One thing I may have been overlooking a bit, but am quicky changing it, is statement necklaces. I mean they have been all over catwalks for quite a few seasons now and they are not going anywhere. And it makes sense. You can easily dress up a simple dress or a tee with a statement necklace and don't need much more. I've checked net-a-porter.com and here are my favourites all available now.

party dressing by Lanvin

I hate January. It seems like the longest, greyist, the most miserable month. The party season is officially over and summer is still far far away. But it doesn't have to be like this. The good news is, it's many of my friend's birthdays coming up, so there is always reason for a party. And dressing up! By now I'm really fed up with all the extra layers and feel like introducing a bit more of a colour into my wardrobe. I admire Alber Elbaz and his SS'10 collection for Lanvin is just so beautiful. The draping is a big hit for spring summer and it's great for all of those, who have been indulging over the Christmas period. The statement necklaces are going nowhere as well and you can see why they are so popular. Easy way to update your wardrobe, they instantly lift a simple outfit without being too much. Bring on the party!

Style crush - Olivia Palermo

I am always browsing the internet for outfits. I like getting inspired by beautiful photgraphs of different looks. I've come across this picture of Olivia Palermo, whose style I admire. Her outfit is simple yet chic. I especially rate the shoes, which are to die for. And the statement necklace? What's not to like!

Party wear part two

Another day closer to Christmas and probably even closer to your work Christmas party. Worried about what to wear? Look no further. Yesterday I looked at some fabulous designer dresses and today it's gonna be all about high-street partywear. Well high-street prices but not the crowds of stressed out "festive" shoppers. I've been obsessed lately with internet shopping so in both features I'm showing you items all discovered on net. So no matter how busy you are, I'm sure you can spare few minutes to look at the web and find your perfect outfit. It's so easy nowadays to shop online. If you're worried about things not fitting properly then don't, because even the returns are easy and usually for free. Anyway no more talking as here are the top three party dresses at very reasonable prices. All can be found on ASOS.com.

What I love about the first one is it's versatility. I'm obsessed with boob tube tops and dresses because they give you so many options as how to wear them. You can use all kind of different necklaces and it will change the look completely. I recommend a statement necklace in your favourite colour or piles and piles of pearls and you've nailed it. Also for another option you can throw over a shrug or little cardie and there you go, noone will know you're wearing the same dress again and again. I also like the detailing at the bottom. Ruffles are quite simple but add more interest to it. It's ASOS own brand and has a very good price.

The second dress is also by ASOS. I don't think much needs to be said. Lace is such a beautiful fabric and very sexy. It's also chic so you just need some simple accessories and you're ready to go. And if you're in a rush and maybe go to a party straight after work that's what you need. It has a luxury feeling as well and in these difficult financial times that is definitely a good thing (all without breaking the bank).

Last but not least is a dress by Mango. I love the colour, it's so now! Also it's very 80' - a style that the designers have been obsessed with lately and I love it too. The sequins are very Studio 54. The back detailing is amazing and I'm sure in this dress you will like a star from that great era and will want to party all night long.

There are so many great dresses out there, it's hard to choose. I hope I've inspired you and maybe give you a guidance what to look for. Good luck with choosing the right one and trust me, it's worth all the searching. because when you find the perfect outfit you will feel million dollar and that's what is all about. Party season here we come!
